Opening of the new production facility in Calcinate, Italy

News & Events

The new IMS Technologies production facility in Calcinate, in the province of Bergamo (Italy), had its grand opening on June 26, 2024.
The new building’s ribbon was cut by President Paolo Clerici and CEO Stefano Bartolini in front of officials, members of the local community, and managers of the company. The group’s total area now stands at 28,500 square meters after the 5,500 square meter extension.
This new phase of expansion comes after all assembly activities were concentrated in Italy and the production plant in Darmstadt, Germany was closed in 2021.
IMS Technologies currently maintains offices and after-sales support in Germany, the USA, and China in addition to its headquarters in Calcinate (BG), Italy, and production facilities in the provinces of Bergamo and Alessandria.

The project
During the course of the roughly year-long Calcinate campus expansion project, new offices and changing areas, a break area, an ecological island, and a sizable new parking lot were all built in addition to the new building.
Three basic principles were adhered to at the construction site: maximizing the structures’ functionality, ensuring the safety of all workers, and encouraging environmentally friendly practices to lessen their impact.
Lastly, the project was made to be modular so that it could be expanded further as needed to accommodate business growth.
